The Chevrolet Camaro Couple is superior to the Mustang GT Premium Coupe when the two are compared in terms of performance, safety and the features each exhibits. The Chevrolet Camaro Couple ss2 will be launched on November 17, 2010 at Los Angeles International Auto Show. It will however appear in the Chevrolet showrooms in February 2010. The Convertible will be available in a similar model to that of Camaro Coupe- a standard 312 horsepower Direct Injection. The model will have an approximate EPA of 29 MPG highway (6) and the normal SS model featuring the 6.2 liter V8 engine (Halvorson, 2010). The Mustang GT Premium Coupe will also be introduced in 2011 and is expected to be superior to both 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe SS2 as well as Hyundai new series launch. The new model has fresh gearboxes, a new V6 performance package and a host of nip/tucks to the outside and everywhere else (Ireson, 2010).

Performance

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro receives more V6 power while the convertible model is expected to be in the market before the year ends. The model produced by General Motors will have a 2-door convertible and a body design borrowed from the 1969 model. It will have LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS trim levels return and V6 and V8 engines. The V6 Engine carries 3.6-liters and releases 312 horsepower, a rise of 8 units from the 2010 model. This one will be available in the LS and LT. The SS matches with the V8. SS versions which have manual transmissions will receive a horsepower 6.2-liter V8. Automatic-equipped SS model also receives 6.2-liter V8, although it makes 400 horsepower and is equipped with GM's Active Fuel Control cylinder deactivation. V6 version has both the manual as well the automatic transmission (Halvorson, 2010).

The Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe will have a more speed and grip. Its front struts and rear shocks/springs are similar to those of V8 GT model. It has thick front and rear anti-roll bars and the rear lower control arms comparable to those of Shelby GT500. It has a 3.31 axle ratio for increased acceleration model-specific 19-inch alloy and a more moderate stability control programming (Ireson, 2010).

Features

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro model will use a 6.2-liter V8 just like that of SS version although this one will be supercharged. The engine will exhibit the newest Cadillac CTS-V, capable of producing 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque.  The Z28 will be more than 300 pounds lighter than CTS-V, and will thus make 0 to 60 times in less than four seconds and probably arrive at a top speed of 193 mph through the manual transmission. The gearboxes will be available in a full-manual six-speed as a result of increased cost of the automatic (Halvorson, 2010).

Although it is smaller than the 2010 model which is a 4.0-liter V6, the dual-overhead, Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe has major improvements in that it produces 210 HP and 280 lb-ft and plays 240 torques, Ford claims that the power train will be appropriate for 30 miles-per-gallon on the highway when coupled with new six-speed automatic and one notch superior to the Chevy. A revised air intake, appear of new six-speed transmissions, electric power steering and aerodynamic tidying, consisting of a revised front fascia, deeper front air dam, rear-wheel tire spats, special underbody shields, and a new rear deck lid seal (Ireson, 2010).

Safety

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro model is equipped with safety features such as ABS, grip control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. The RS Package for LT and SS models are composed of bi-xenon headlights, specific trim, and on LT versions, 20-inch wheels. All the models will bear these types of wheels. Other safety features in the model are Rear-obstacle which is uniform on the 2LT and 2SS and optional on the 1LT. The model will also be equipped with a wireless cell-phone link, USB port, satellite radio, and remote engine start (Halvorson, 2010).

Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe has bigger brakes; 11.5-inches in front and 11.8-inchers at the back and a uniform limited-slip differential to assist the new model power to the ground. The 2011 V6 model of the ford has damper and spring rates, a special rear lower control arm and stiffer stabilizer bar bushings. Naturally, with an all-new power train and its differing weight properties, Ford's engineers also had to turn their attention to the suspension. To that end, the 2011 V6 gets new damper and spring rates, a different rear lower control arm, and stiffer stabilizer bar bushings (Ireson, 2010).

Conclusion

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro model is superior to the Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe. The model has is faster than the Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe  and its V6 engine 3.6 liter engine releases 312 horsepower. The model is safer than the Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe in that it is equipped with safety features such as ABS, grip control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. It also has Rear-obstacle which is uniform on the 2LT and 2SS and optional on the 1LT. The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro model is definitely preferred to the Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe (Halvorson, 2010).
