Arizona State University is looking for an experienced and skilled designer to design a structure for a parking garage and office building. ASU has done a rough estimation of need for a ±1,600 stall parking structure; an up to 30,000gsf office building; a 20,000 – 30,000gsf pedestrian mall; and LEED certification to get to the highest feasible level. So one solution from the perspective of students and other staffs within the campus may be to use transportation to reach the university and not to bring their personal vehicles in the university campus, it will escape them from bearing the increased price of the parking lot by the ASU’s policy makers. They are also suggested to use the parking lots at the time of free parking hour. The web page of Herberger College of the Arts shows that “[free parking is available at the south end of the Tempe Center in ASU Art Museum-marked spaces, located at the NE corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street”. Free parking is also offered on weekends and University holidays and just after 7 p.m. weeknights in parking lot. And throughout the week the cost of parking is up to $4.00 for a single day.
